Gewässertes Heu, bedampftes Heu oder Heulage bei equinem Asthma – und was ist dran am schlechten Ruf der Heulage?

Beschreibung

Equines Asthma ist die häufigste chronische Atemwegserkrankung des adulten Pferdes. In dieser Folge des Podcasts Equine Vet News sprechen Dr. Anja Gabe und Dr. Caroline Wirth über die aktuelle Studienlage zu drei Raufutter-Alternativen – bedampftem, gewässertem Heu und Heulage – und deren Wirkung auf Klinik, Lungenfunktion und Atemwegsentzündung bei Pferden mit equinem Asthma. Im letzten Teil des Podcasts diskutieren Dr. Anja Gabe und Dr. Caroline Wirth die im Internet und in der Praxis beschriebenen negativen Auswirkungen von Heulage, wie zum Beispiel Botulismus, Dysbiose, Übersäuerung, Hufrehe und Karies, auf Grundlage veröffentlichter Studienergebnisse zu diesen Themen.
